Artist Statement:

My bold and alluring oil paintings are created through the lens of my rural Midwestern childhood which cultivated a boundless love of nature and a deep desire for wide open spaces.  Through dynamic compositions which allude to a never-ending scene flowing off the canvas and a painting process of layering color over color, I create vivid and modern floral-based paintings with stunning depth and intensity.  I paint luminous and ethereal images, rich in color and feathered with painterly vestiges of my dynamic brushwork.  Calling back to those times in history when artists were applauded for creating images of balance, harmony, purity and beauty, it is my goal to create modern paintings which are exquisite, vibrant, and beautiful.
