Clayworks
A Retrospective

September 1 to October 15, 2015

My sculptures are in constant contention between the organic medium of which I work, and the mechanical qualities of what I convey. I explore how the combination of individual forms create one cohesive sculpture. Methods for assemblage vary from mortise and tenon joints to outlined grids describing where forms should be placed. Allowing me to create large-scale works whose compositions may be deconstructed and reassembled. Repetitive geometric form in relation with vibrant mattes and lusters, establish a unique perspective of what can be accomplished with the medium of clay.
